About Me

I am a native of Arkansas, but I have lived in Louisiana for over 15 years. In 2010, I graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. After working in the hospital and clinic setting for several years, I decided to further my education in the field of medicine that I have always held the highest passion for - psychiatry!

In 2016, I received my Master's of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a specialty in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have worked in the outpatient psychiatric setting for five years. In 2021, I had the opportunity to open my own private practice - based out of my own hometown of Farmerville, LA, where I am able to serve the surrounding area as well as the entire state of Louisiana!

I offer both face-to-face appointments and telemed services. I provide psychiatric evaluations and engage my patients in the development of a personalized treatment plan, which we work on with close monitoring during follow up appointments. While medication management is a large part of my job, I believe in a holistic model of psychiatric care - I cannot treat "part" of the problem. We must get a bigger picture by looking at other factors. Therefore, my patients can expect a thorough evaluation with extensive history-taking. They can expect lots of education and to be held accountable for "their" part of the treatment plan that we agree on.
